Bloomsburg Field Hockey Routs Slippery Rock

SLIPPERY ROCK--The Bloomsburg University field hockey team defeated Slippery Rock University, 10-0, on Wednesday night.

The Huskies scored five times in each half of the game, while goalie Tracey Hudak (Sweet Valley/Lake-Lehman) stopped two shots to earn the shutout victory.

Offensively the Huskies were led by Samantha Kropa (Tunkhannock/Lackawanna Trail) who had two goals and one assist, while Venessa Witman (Oley/Oley Valley) added a goal and an assist with Ashley Heckard (Millerstown/Greenwood) getting two assists.

Bloomsburg, now 2-0, will host Mansfield on Saturday night at 7 p.m. at the Huskies; new turf field. Prior to the game a brief grand opening celebration will be held.
